The origins
José Martínez García begins to write our history:
It is then that he makes the decision to start the path as an independent entrepreneur. Almost 50 years of history, experience and wisdom supports us on a path where our goal has been and will be to give our best service and immediate response to the client.
From an artisan workshop, installed in his own home, the 1st generation CHIA launches to build an entrepreneurial path independently. A path that, 50 years later, will have reached its goal: to offer the best service and customer service, with half a century of experience behind us.

This year is marked by the professionalization of our activity. José Martínez García's children followed in his father's footsteps and took the helm of the company. In this way and after several transfers, José Martínez García and Félix Martínez García, manage to establish CHIA in a workshop with better conditions, in which we continue developing our activity.
First international projects

"That year, both brothers decided to take different paths. José Martínez García's built a new company, INDUSTRIAS MECÁNICAS CHIA, implementing more advanced technology and processes, such as flame cutting. This new ambition for innovation led him to carry out important works on an international scale, among which we can highlight a large project in Bilbao, which they had to build in the middle of the street, due to its considerable dimensions.

In parallel, and while INDUSTRIAS MECÁNICAS CHIA continues to grow, José Martínez García set up a new company called ESPIRALES Y MAQUINARIA DE TRANSPORTE, focused on the manufacture of machinery for moving bulk.
Thanks to our perseverance and strict quality controls, we are consolidated in the market and CHIA begins to receive projects from all over the world, increasing our presence in the sector.

That year is marked by an exciting project, which comes to CHIA from Turkey. It is about the manufacture and assembly of a drying system for pomace, a project that we faced with enthusiasm and solved successfully.
Each of the projects that have passed through our hands has been treated with care, taking care of every last detail to achieve the most optimal results and earn the trust of our clients.

In 2013 we decided to stop running the two companies in parallel and centralize all efforts in ESPIRALES Y MAQUINARIA DE TRANSPORTE; This way, we managed to optimize our services and improve customer service. At CHIA we want to live up to the great projects entrusted to us.
