CHIA, a company dedicated to the construction, repair and maintenance of industrial machinery, has a history that began in 1964, when its founder, José Martínez García, decided to set out on his own. With the aim of always offering the best service and the most immediate response to the customer, CHIA has almost 50 years of experience and know-how that endorse us as a leading company in the sector.
In 1971, after several relocations, the sons of José Martínez García took the helm of the company and established CHIA in a workshop with better conditions, marking the beginning of the professionalisation of the activity.
In 1985, CHIA embarked on its path towards internationalisation. The brothers José Martínez García and Félix Martínez García took different paths, and José decided to build a new company called INDUSTRIAS MECÁNICAS CHIA, where he implemented more advanced technology and processes such as oxycutting. This allowed him to carry out important work on an international scale, such as the large project in Bilbao.
In 1996, CHIA experienced exponential growth thanks to its perseverance and strict quality controls, which enabled it to consolidate its position in the market and receive projects from all over the world.
In 1998, CHIA faced a new international challenge with the manufacture and assembly of a drying system for pearl pomace in Turkey, a project that was successfully completed.
In 2013, CHIA decided to centralise all its efforts in ESPIRALES Y MAQUINARIA DE TRANSPORTE, a company dedicated to the manufacture of machinery for bulk handling. In this way, they were able to optimise their services and improve their customer service, while being up to the challenge of the major projects entrusted to them.
In 2014, after the retirement of José Martínez García, his sons took over and continue to write the history of the company to this day, taking care of each of the projects that have passed through their hands to achieve the best finishes and earn the trust of their customers.
In 2015, CHIA went a step further in its commitment to innovation by launching its first website to be closer to its customers and facilitate contact with new consumers who wanted to trust them with their projects, from anywhere in the world.
Today, CHIA is constantly updating its identity to stay at the forefront of the sector. In 2021, they updated their corporate identity, reflecting the evolution they have undergone in recent years but maintaining the core values that have led them to success.
