Salt is one of the elements that we always have present in our daily lives because of its great versatility in the kitchen, but also for its uses in home remedies and applications in various industries. But do you know how salt gets to your table?
There are salt mines where salt is extracted from water through the solar evaporation process. This technique accounts for approximately 85% of salt production nationwide. Salt water is captured in shallow ponds where the sun evaporates most of the water. The concentrated brine precipitates the salt, which is then collected by harvesting machines for further processing.
In Espirales y Maquinaria de Transporte, SL we have manufactured a reception line, from truck, of wet salt and introduce it into the warehouse for further processing, treatment and classification.
The line is equipped with a product collection hopper, a lump breaker mill with breaker blades to decompact the material, a screen for accurate separation and a set of belts to convey the product.
At CHIA we offer tailor-made solutions adapted to the needs of the client, in this case a salt plant.
