Spain's olive groves and their production of high-quality olive oil are internationally recognized. The olive collection marks the beginning of a process that culminates in obtaining this precious golden liquid. The olive harvesting season in Spain is one of the most important moments for the oil sector. Depending on the year, the harvest can begin as early as October.
Every year, during the fall and winter months, Spanish farmers prepare for the olive harvest. Industrial machinery plays a crucial role in this process, as it allows for production optimization and ensures the quality of the final product.
Conveyor belts and hoppers for the olive oil sector
One of the most commonly used machines during this period is the conveyor belt. This device provides a safe and cost-effective means of transporting solid materials such as olives. Conveyor belts have a high capacity for carrying cargo over long distances. At Espirales CHIA, we manufacture custom conveyor belts that can be incorporated into pre-defined spaces and terrains without the need for modifications. In addition to conveyor systems, we also manufacture custom hoppers. These hoppers are essential for handling solid bulk materials in the olive oil sector, as they are used to stack raw materials and facilitate their transfer to conveyor belts or trucks. Depending on the client's needs, we can manufacture cylindrical, square, or rectangular hoppers. Hoppers can be made as a single piece or in several independent modules.
Meat Bone Separator
Once the olives have fallen to the ground, been collected, and transported, meat bone separator come into action. This type of machinery plays a fundamental role in separating the pulp from the pit using a stainless steel conical rotor and tungsten-coated paddles. The olive pitters we manufacture at Espirales CHIA have a power of 75 HP, with a production capacity of 20,000 kg/h of wet pomace input. The supporting structures are made of carbon steel, the main structure is made of AISI-304L stainless steel sheet, and the paddles are filled with tungsten to prevent wear. The interior screens, with a thickness of 3mm and 3 or 4mm holes, are removable and facilitate handling.
Preparing industrial machinery for olive harvesting
In the months leading up to the olive harvest, it is essential to check that all our machinery is functioning correctly. If not, productivity may decrease, or the activity may even come to a halt if a machine experiences a serious failure. At Espirales CHIA, we offer personalized maintenance services to ensure that your campaign achieves the most optimal results. With our team, we guarantee long-lasting operation and maximum performance.
Industrial facilities often have complex systems, making it difficult to disassemble and transport parts if they need repairs. Our team can travel to your location to save time and transportation costs. If you need to fine-tune a rotating equipment, at Equilibrados CHIA, we perform dynamic and static balancing. Through modal analysis, we can gather information about the machinery's vibration and the problems it may be causing.
Innovation in the olive oil sector
Currently, the olive oil sector in Spain continues to innovate in terms of industrial machinery. At Espirales CHIA, we are constantly developing new technologies and improving existing equipment to make the production process even more efficient and sustainable for our customers. Industrial machinery plays a crucial role in every stage of the production process, from olive harvesting to obtaining the final olive oil. Thanks to technological innovation, Espirales CHIA remains a global leader in the olive oil sector.
