In 2011, CHIA completed a project for the olive oil industry in Portugal involving the manufacture of three olive pomace drying lines. The installation was developed to meet the customer’s processing requirements and to integrate the drying equipment into its existing production facilities.
Olive pomace has specific handling and drying requirements due to its moisture content and physical characteristics. For this reason, the design of each line must consider the feeding process, the continuous movement of the material and its passage through the different stages of the installation.
CHIA manufactured the equipment required for the three lines, adapting the project to the available space and the operating needs of the plant. The result was an industrial solution designed to support continuous processing and coordinate the transport and drying of the material.
This project reflects our experience in manufacturing equipment for olive pomace treatment and in developing complete solutions for the olive oil industry.
